Bristol's City Museum & Art Gallery
Bristol's City Museum & Art Gallery lies in the heart of the city, with collections of regional, national and international importance.
It has been awarded 'Designated status' - the sign of an outstanding museum, and houses collections from the region and beyond, including natural history, archaeology, fine art, geology, ethnography and Egyptology.
At least four exhibitions a year complement the permanent collections, with Wildlife Photographer of the Year and the National Gallery Touring Exhibition visiting annually.
Add to that a varied and exciting programme of family and holiday activities, walks, tours and lectures, workshops and monthly perfomances and you have the perfect place to contemplate works of art, entertain the kids or simply while away an afternoon.
Bristol's City Museum & Art Gallery is open 7 days a week, from 10am to 5pm, and is FREE!
